No way! If you paid for insurance, you dont need to pay anything.
Check what insurance you got. Some only covers liability, and some covers the whole car. If you got the comprehensive, then tell him to use the insurance. They just dont want their insurance rates to go up, or have to pay their deductable.
No. He cannot legally make you pay for it, as long as you did pay insurance. In fact, if the people that were shooting at the car got arrested then they will have to pay for it. The car rental agency will determine wheather this is an issue that should be taken up with the gunmen. If I were you I would make sure I had a copy of the reciepts and the information that you signed. If they damages are of a significant amount you may want to take it to court. Otherwise, you may just want to pay for it to avoid time out of work. But I do not think that you have to pay for it. It’s all according to the contract you signed.
Hi,
Good post. I had some problems with my car after I had an accident. My Insurer wanted to raise my rates $525 a year! I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket!
I looked for a new provider and found this website:
They compare all of the major insurance providers and give you the best deal. I ended up saving over $300 from what I was previously paying (that’s $825 a year!).
Good Luck
